Your cabin is powered by solar and a backup generator.
Also, there is a satellite dish for internet.
The solar system delivers power for lights, electronic devices, the hot-water-on-demand gadget and the low-pressure water pump.
Experience the power of the sun and how it is free to use for your needs.
On rainy days the backup generator gives the batteries a charge. It can also be used to power high demand devices if necessary.
Off Grid living teaches us conscious use of the available power. You can use your getaway to gain this valuable experience.
The rural area along the Wolf River has some cell phone coverage. Our BERI Lodge is equipped with satellite internet. WIFI can be turned on on your own schedule.
Water
Your source of water is rain! The BERI Lodge is equipped with eve-troughs that keep filling a 1,600 Gal. rain water tank in the ground. A small pressure pump delivers the water to your tabs and the shower. Hot-water-on-demand provides the hot water.
Sauna
The beautiful barrel sauna is heated with a wood fired sauna stove. A separate changing room can also be used to relax between sauna sessions.
Outhouse - close to the cabin
Composting toilets work well when not overly used. Using the outhouse helps, as often as it is conveniently possible.

are on site.

bring your own gear.
Snowshoeing and Cross country skiing is also possible at our place
Best is to bring your own equipment.
